Late Autumn Planting

The autumn we know but don’t necessarily love has arrived, but the Indian summer was good while it lasted. We’ve had a wonderful summer, and it’s time to embrace the change. See the good… Lots of rain is great for the garden, and makes it a perfect time for planting. If you want some autumn colour, what better time to find the perfect tree or shrub to provide it?

We still have a good selection of bulbs and now is THE time for planting. Daffodils, tulips, bluebells, snowdrops, crocus, cyclamen, iris, alliums and mixes for naturalising. Invest now and reap the rewards next spring.

Fill your pots and baskets with spring flowering bulbs, pansies and violas. It’s good to get the bedding in soon so it can establish itself whilst it is relatively warm. Sometimes it’s difficult to say goodbye to those summer pots, but don’t leave it too late…
